Day-in and day-out most folks race around trying to get as much STUFF as possible done.
Most of this STUFF is all about getting MORE STUFF, or trying to get more $$$ to get EVEN MORE STUFF.
Go down any street just about anyplace on the planet and it is easy to find a dozen places which will all be very happy to sell anyone MORE STUFF in exchange for their $$$.
Is this a bad thing somehow ?
No, not really; but the excessive amounts of STUFF that folks NEED - is quite bad.
Since this page is about business, here's one way to break it down=>
- Materials; where the STUFF all starts, the bits and pieces which together make things.
- Work; people and/or machines work with the materials, and STUFF gets made.
- STUFF; So it's all made, gets boxed up, moved around, sold to stores...and then...
- Pressure: Folks feel a strong NEED to buy STUFF - and sellers MUST work hard at selling it to them, which are both forms of PRESSURE, and if most folks think a minute they realize that pressure is usually just not a good thing for anyone.
So maybe it's time to look at this and to ask some questions, and maybe this will help:
- Could we be just as happy and have good lives with LESS STUFF ?
- If we needed less - then could we maybe work less too ?
- We always see & hear the word MORE; so why is MORE supposed to be better ?
- If we go faster and faster all the time does that make our lives better somehow ?
- Have we gotten our happiness confused with our STUFF ?
- If our lives can never be exactly perfect, can we somehow just be happy instead ?
